Morning Routine of a High Value Woman

I love an aesthetic morning routine, but I need it to be realistic as well. I need routines that help me become a better woman. More disciplined, more confident, and more regulated. It has been my goal to be calmer and less reactive. I want a routine that grounds my body, boosts my energy, and helps me become the kind of woman who is in control of her time, not controlled by it.

#1) Improve Your Wake Up

Isn’t your alarm the most irritating sound in the world? There is nothing worse for the nervous system than hearing a jarring siren at the crack of dawn. I used to hit snooze almost immediately every morning. So let’s stop hitting the snooze and ease into waking with soft natural light that regulates our circadian rhytm. It will make your mornings feel calmer instead of chaotic. This Hatch Sunrise Alarm dupe is soooo worth it. Not only does the light mimic the sunrise, it can also create white noise for when you sleep!

#2) Reset Your Mind

I usually make my coffee and sit in quiet for a few minutes. Call it meditation if you’d like. I recently bought an oil diffuser that mimics a fireplace. It makes my mornings so aesthetic. This is my time to journal and set my intentions for the day. My go-to journal is the “Five Minute Journal”. I also reflect about my day in this journal before heading to sleep. I believe organizing your thoughts and giving gratitude in the morning are so important! It helps me prioritize my goals for the day and reminds me to be grateful for the blessings in my life.

#3) Move Your Body

You do not have to overdo this! Some mornings it’s a walk outdoors if the weather feels nice, some mornings is a quick walk on the walking pad, and other times I hop on my vibration plate. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s consistency. It’s less about the workout itself and more about becoming the kind of woman who shows up for herself every single day. I try to get outside as much as possible. Studies show morning light improves your mood, reduces anxiety and stress levels, contributes to higher energy during the day, and improves your sleep! There are literally so many benefits and reasons to move your body in the morning.

#4) Fuel Your Body

I focus on high-protein, high-fiber meals that I actually love. I am currently in a hyperfixation with both my breakfast and lunch. Here is what they look like:

Breakfast is delicious and balanced:

  • Protein waffles

  • 1 egg and 2 egg whites

  • Chicken sausage patty

Lunch is basically an adult lunchable:

  • Protein source (tuna, chicken, or deli meats)

  • Carb (been loving Almond crackers lately)

  • Veggie with a dip (carrots & hummus or cucumber & Bolt House ranch)

  • Something sweet (usually yogurt with honey & some granola for crunch)

While my breakfast is cooking, I pack my water bottle and fix my lunch in these meal prep containers. I have lost around 50 lbs so far! This part of the morning is my favorite. I pop in my earbuds and listen to podcasts (see my blog post on podcasts to become THAT GIRL). These podcasts have really helped me manage my emotions and regulate my nervous system. It’s like a mini-therapy session before work. It’s so rewarding!

#5) Pamper Yourself

Stay consistent with your skincare. A high-value woman takes care of herself inside and out. You do this for the love of yourself, not for the approval of others. My skincare routine is very simple and effective. I kept what works and threw what didn’t.

  1. Timeless Vitamin C Serum: A WONDERFUL dupe for the very expensive Skin Ceuticals brand!

  2. Vichy Mineral 89 Serum: Soooo hydrating for your skin. I wear it as a primer before my makeup.

  3. Mineral Tinted SPF: If you have melasma, having a TINTED SPF with zinc is your best bet (learned from my dermotologist).

It’s that simple. Only three products! And my skin has never looked better.

I also take my time with my makeup routine. Just like when cooking breakfast, I listen to podcasts or switch over to some feel-good music to get me going for the day while I finish up my skincare and makeup.

#6) Dress with Intention

Don’t overthink your outfits. I actually recommend donating or throwing out the clothes that take up space in your closet. I developed a capsule wardrobe about 2 years ago and never looked back. I literally own about 8 shirts, 5 pairs of pants, 2 belts, 4 jackets, 5 pairs of shoes, and minimal jewelry. Go to read my blog on the “Old Money” capsule warbrobe to gather ideas! It was literally life changing. I cannot begin to tell you the compliments I get daily on my outfits because they are chic, minimalist, and timeless.

Also be sure you have a signature scent! I LOOOOOVVEE Dossier dupes. My current obsession is Amberly Vanilla. It’s a dupe for YSL’s Black Opium. I also love Amberly Saffron, the dupe for Baccarat Rouge! I find they smell exactly like the dupes for a fraction of the price. Never paying full price again for a designer fragrance. :)

I hope you found this helpful and gathered some ideas to incorporate into your mornings! Remember, the way you spend your mornings sets the tone for each day and this becomes the way you live your life. So choose your morning routine with intention.
